By embracing market economy and blended with planning economy, most people in Mainland would describe that Communism in China has only its body left but soul lost.
However, to the firm believers of the communism (dream/hope) and the party (CCP) as well as some scholars, Communism has not died. Communism is only evolved to be a more adoptive doctrine when compared to the old days.

OLD DAYS

In HOI2, the charm of Communism in Mainland China is not properly simulated. Do we have to wait until HOI3 or a few mod could do? :confused:

This thread hopes to help modelling that period of time in Mainland China as well as making the game more appealling to the Chinese Market (I guess people in Mainland China can order from internet or buy it in Hong Kong or Macau if the game is really banned in retails).

Eh? What do you mean with "modeling the charm of communism"? What exactly do you expect the game to do?

The Chinese government would also like to mention that in fact there was no Nationalist government at all, but in fact China itself has and always will belong to the true communist government. Bless the Chairman.

HOI2 is not losing any significant sales in China by not legally selling there. I'm sure Chinese software pirates also bemoan the lack of the charm of communism.

John Keats, your bourgeouis posting behaviour has exposed you as an evil enemy of The Party! Perhaps five years of hard labour in an asbestos strip mine will politically re-educate you while you think about your crimes against The People and the Chariman!

Seriously, maybe C.O.R.E. can mod some massive revolt risk in Japanese owned provinces that gives tons of souped up militia revolters to the commies. Haven't tried playing any chinese faction yet, but I don't see how the communists have any chance of winning the chinese civil war.

(only the case in China)
Communism did have its charm in itself. This is why Communists grew so quick after Jap went home and why ComChi got the regime eventually.
For example, Communists can arrange people living in Jap occupied suburban area carrying guerrilla warfare.

this article (I know it from Wiki)
www-cgsc.army.mil/csi/research/ComWar/comwarbjorge.asp
details it.

I just think whether it is a good idea to incorporate "guerrilla warfare" into the game :confused:

Say,
1) affecting partisan level of Jap occupied land;
2) special doctrine for ChiCom (have to research? only possible after Jap is surrounded?);

Then I think of a special skill of the Communists as a game component - it is the spread of communism. The scope of spreading affecting ComChi's overall power after the war with Japan.

If we have some modellings like this we may have the following benefits at least:

1) Alliance of Communism can have alternative means to get VICTORY points, thus balancing the game better;

2) more realistic;

something like that... btw, I don't have a complete pic on what should be done... just want a better modelling and eventually a more funny game to play with. That is.

If it is still forbidden, it should be very low

most chinese can't afford the price

BTW, buying form internet , is still an Adventure here

But if legal game agent exists, it will be resolved

I have bought some famous software such as KOEI and SI by a Acceptable price(arround 40RMB,4EU$) through the agent.

If Culture Department changed its idea, and it is not forbidden, many chinese fans will buy it

Maybe there couldbe some events giving the communists more divisions? That like told how the Communist regime's army expanded when they were able to get support from the Northern China. So if communists occupy some provinces an even would fire?

Nationalist‘s goverment army was strongly weakened by Japanese,but Communists' army changed stronger through the anti-japan war.

Communist china as a Newly arisen regime, has more power and efficiency than corrupted Nationlist goverment.

After received the weapon and factories from USSR in Northeast , the result of the civil war was determined.
