I have been away from EU4 for a few years and no longer own the game or any DLCs. Due to work commitments, I can only devote time to the game at certain times of year (summer and December). For these reasons, I am thinking of getting a subscription for a couple of months over the summer, dropping it in September, and then renewing it in December. I don't want to pay hundreds of $ to buy all DLCs from scratch, but I also don't want to subscribe all year when I can only play for a few months.
My question is this: One of my favourite things about the game is doing achievements. Are all achievements available to subscribers as normal? Also, if I play for a few months in the summer and then cancel my subscription in the fall, would my achievements carry over from the summer when I resubscribe in December? Do they get saved in my Steam account, or is all record of my achievements wiped clean the moment I unsubscribe (regardless of whether or not I subscribe again later)?
Thanks in advance to anyone who can shed some light on this.
