I've read about all the fixes but I can't seem to get them to work. I'm a history buff, not technically inclined, and I was lucky to get the 1.03 patch applied. How the heck to I fix this? I've seen people mention opening the saved game file in a text editor but I have no idea how to do this. As for "unzipping" the automatic fix- forget it. Am I just screwed until the next patch comes out?
As for you Paradox guys...Wassup with this? You make a great game and then kill the fun for non-tech gurus with what seems like a pretty easy problem to spot. I downloaded the THIRD patch that has come out and this problem still exists? This may not be big problem for some people but for me (and others I'm sure), its huge. I didn't lay out 40 bucks to be a guinea pig or to have to fix problems that should have been fixed by you guys in the first place. This is like watching a film and having the projector break 3/4s of the way through. Then managment comes in and tells you to go up there and fix it yourself.
Next time, charge me 60 bucks for a game that works instead of 40 for one that doesn't.
