Something was rebalanced in radiation and tools breaking? I have 200 people in the colony, 15 tools broken everyday, 5-6 irradiated people a day and at least 6 mutated...colony is away from radiation pools (and i'm already cleaning it), no dirty people, pavement unlocked...the only source of pollution are the extractor, but still, looks too much

Check the pollution levels for your food. Some foods are more polluted then others (regardless of if they are planted in clean soil) so this could be causing your radiation sickness. I don't believe there is a way to remove it 100% from the food chain but some foods are worse then others (fish and Venison for example are worse then prime meat and insects)

now with the new update details of food pollution are better but still there is something wrong. I have no red food in the fields, water is ok but still, today i loaded a game (new game with gold update) and got 30 radiated people in 2 minutes...with 80 total colonist. And then a magnetic storm happened and now i have half the people irradiated

Yes, I notice the same thing on XBox: irradiated colonist numbers are too high...

The inability to turn the Settler Unit back into a Specialist unit is a horrible change to the game. I do not like this and this part just broke the game for me. Specialist units are very precious and in some cases, if one dies you are severely gimped and need to restart a new game. And with these new combat changes you can have a Specialist fighting a unit and have 40 health left and out of the blue they are DEAD because you do not know how much health they sustain per turn nor a warning they are about to die. I have lost A LOT OF precious Specialist Combat units this way.

I DO NOT like these 2 changes to Research and Combat of Specialists change and we need to have a mod that reverses this stupid change. The inability to convert the unit back at all and they are forever lost to being a Settler Unit AND they can not leave that research outpost once created and fused with it are literally TWO severe limitations imposed upon extremely precious and rare units.

I am starting to hate this game at the severity of the change. Why did you do this? It is ANTI-fun and my main camp is research starved now or I have to restart the game. DUMB move Paradox very very DUMB move! You just killed your game if you can not research anything for years on end. I am SO BEHIND on research for YEARS all the while my main base is now being attacked regularly. The balance is gone!

You have now managed to GIMP Specialist units by having NO WARNING of imminent death wherein they can take a 40+ health punch and instantaneously die and you managed to eliminate Specialist units by DOUBLE-BINDING them to the research Outpost and to being a Settler Unit effectively preventing reversal of this STUPID move when your Combat specialist are dying left and right due to these Draconian combat hits which are Lethal.

I will therefore no longer be endorsing Surviving the Aftermath on my Stream as I do not want my viewers to be as disappointed with this completely game-killing double move made by Paradox. What a shame, this game had so much promise!

Wit a minute . . . you paid for a game preview, acknowledge the "this is a work in progress and is subject to change" each and every time you load the game. Yet are surprised by the game changing? Haha priceless. Those 3 people watching will surely be disappointed hah

Heya @Jammed_Death and @GoHeat1988 .

We actually fixed a bug with this latest update that would decrease the amount shown in the notification - there was still another issue as well that would do the same, but this one fix already could be the source for the "increased" numbers - they are not actually higher, the game is just actually showing more accurate numbers.

There is indeed still one bug in the game that we have been working on (should be fixed in the next patch!) that causes the amount to become smaller without the colonists actually being healed - this can cause the amount to actually become negative and keep growing larger and larger. If this does occur for you, saving and loading should fix the issue.

Hope this information helps, thanks for playing!

Thanks so much for the quick reply! I really do love this game; it's one of those that eats up the time without my realizing it ;-)
