Someone mentioned something like this in the Paradox reddit, and I thought it was a cool, if completely unworkable idea. Pretty much, instead of being a game, Paradox games in the future are world simulators. Every person on the planet would be a real artificial intelligence, with hopes, dreams, ideologies, needs, and ambitions. Its the POPs system, to its ultimate implementation. The player could play the game like a GSG, but he could also take the place of one of the people. Imagine, touring the streets of your capital, or soaring through the skies of the battlefield in a plane. Even better, doing political negotiations yourself, or personally strangling children to secure your bloodline. Technology would be less a tech tree, and more pouring money and resources into things your people have invented themselves. Political ideologies would not be coded, but would form organically from the ideals and desires of people in the world. Matrix like VR would let you live through lifetimes in a few hours. It would not be a single EU or CK game, but from the beginning of history to the present day, even extending forwards as the people ingame invent rockets and go to the stars. Any thoughts?
