Revising this, as I just realised 1861 Canada would clash with the US currently in place, as Canada owned Alaska from the get-go in '61. In no particular order...

Đế quốc Việt Nam - 1920
Seeing as 1920 ended in the 70s, I think Vietnam would be in an interesting position within the world you seem to be building. Tensions with the Commies are high, and Imperial Vietnam post-civil war has the potential to be a major regional ally to the US and to Western interests in SE Asia more generally. However, as I recall things weren't altogether rosy either. Rebuilding from the war would leave scars -- although IIRC rebuilding in Hanoi was a success, so that's nice -- and I do wonder how the fragile multi-party democracy
I outlined has fared...

République du Québec - 1920
Honestly, the brief independence of Quebec was one of my favourite parts of 1920. Ideally, the starting point for Quebecois history in
Legacy of Nations would be just after
Lesage arises. With the French Empire being canon here I'm kinda doubting that a reunification with the motherland would've taken place, what with Quebec's disdain for monarchism after Canada shit itself to death. Still, I imagine Montreal and Paris would get along nicely; plus it would add a bit of colour to North America. France doesn't seem interested in helping the US out in Germany, but Quebec might be! Who knows? Plus, I'd get an excuse to use the Quebecois tricolour; as I imagine Lesage would prefer something a little less... Catholic... than the
Fleurdelisé.
III. El Reino del Perú -- 1789
Man 1789 was great. Kinda wacky, but great. I never had the pleasure of playing Monarchist Peru, which was established in 1840 in-game, but since I was the Spanish player at the time I guess I was close enough. Anywho, a Carlist Bourbon monarchy in South America -- which by 1975 would be well over a century old -- would IMO be very interesting; especially if it retained the Greater Peruvian borders with which it was born. Now of course I don't know the history of Spain or of South America in this game but I think at the starting point (1840) Peru was in a pretty good position to establish itself as the dominant power on the continent; especially given that it was the Peruvian military, more or less, which managed the Spanish side of the independence wars and didn't do so badly. What they'd look like in '75 is anyone's guess, but depending on how deep the Carlist ethos is ingrained I'm thinking a Fascist-y, Francoist-y regime wouldn't be half bad.

Kongeriget Færøerne -- 1861 Mk II
No, really. I know it is silly, but honestly the Kingdom of the Faroes is legitimately one of my fondest WiR memories. Is it a meme? Yes, obviously, but it's an adorable little meme and I think that it would be nice to have the Kingdom of the Faroes included in your fond farewell to us -- and our fond farewell to you as well. The Kingdom of the Faroes would have no relevance whatsoever on the world stage in 1975, but would absolutely be a cheerleader for NODO and probably be a friendly social democratic state with a blossoming tourist industry. The blossoming tourist industry is probably a good thing given that the only other option for powering the Faroese economy is fishing -- and as the twentieth century marches on that may get steadily less viable...
Completely unrelated to the above, I think your IC posts are marvellous -- if admittedly sometimes hard to read, although I appreciate how large they are -- and look forward to watching etranger try and keep Germany from falling to the Reds. The Vietnamese, Quebecois, Peruvian, and Faroese people all agree: Communism blows.
