1: The Kingdom of Greece from WiR 1920 MKI. While I never played it myself or was even around at the time, I found the concept of a partially succesful Megali Idea to be enticing and it should be brought over into this universe.

2 : Kingdom of the Netherlands from my brief stint as them in 1920 MKII. Without Indonesia obviously, how it decolonized and how it is tied with the netherlands( If at all) is up to you. Suriname should however remain under their control at least until 1975.

3 : The Republic of Korea from WiR 1920 as portrayed by Jacobl-lundgren. With tensions at an all time high, a timeline where korea is peaceful, united and wealthy would be nice and potentially change the balance of power in the region ever so slightly.

Note : I don't have to be in it. Just to see these nations appear on the map would be cool.

I like it. Eager to see more about what Italy is up to. If it is still aligned towards USSR, could be interesting to work with a more left-leaning fascist movement ala D'Annunzio or Pino Rauti.

Great to hear. All playable nations will get these. Might try something with the updates this way. Love typewriters. Going to have to hunt some shops in Vermont to see if they have any Russian-language ones. A note should be taken that the most recent document only talks about Germany, doesn't encompass the whole World War. Every nation was involved. It was big league. mark

Admittedly, the text in some areas is less than legible as the letters tend to blob up on themselves in the lower-case letters, to me at least, but I like the manner of exposition. It's certainly immersive. Updates in this style would be a sight to read.

Alright.

I. Second Empire of Brazil - 1900 Mk I
II. Dominion of Canada - 1861 Mk II
III. Kingdom of the Faroes - 1861 Mk II

IDK if it is proper, necessarily, to sign up for nations you've already played but honestly my time as Canada and as the Faroes was fantastic.

Revising this, as I just realised 1861 Canada would clash with the US currently in place, as Canada owned Alaska from the get-go in '61. In no particular order...

I. Đế quốc Việt Nam - 1920

Seeing as 1920 ended in the 70s, I think Vietnam would be in an interesting position within the world you seem to be building. Tensions with the Commies are high, and Imperial Vietnam post-civil war has the potential to be a major regional ally to the US and to Western interests in SE Asia more generally. However, as I recall things weren't altogether rosy either. Rebuilding from the war would leave scars -- although IIRC rebuilding in Hanoi was a success, so that's nice -- and I do wonder how the fragile multi-party democracy I outlined has fared...

II. République du Québec - 1920

Honestly, the brief independence of Quebec was one of my favourite parts of 1920. Ideally, the starting point for Quebecois history in Legacy of Nations would be just after Lesage arises. With the French Empire being canon here I'm kinda doubting that a reunification with the motherland would've taken place, what with Quebec's disdain for monarchism after Canada shit itself to death. Still, I imagine Montreal and Paris would get along nicely; plus it would add a bit of colour to North America. France doesn't seem interested in helping the US out in Germany, but Quebec might be! Who knows? Plus, I'd get an excuse to use the Quebecois tricolour; as I imagine Lesage would prefer something a little less... Catholic... than the Fleurdelisé.

III. El Reino del Perú -- 1789

Man 1789 was great. Kinda wacky, but great. I never had the pleasure of playing Monarchist Peru, which was established in 1840 in-game, but since I was the Spanish player at the time I guess I was close enough. Anywho, a Carlist Bourbon monarchy in South America -- which by 1975 would be well over a century old -- would IMO be very interesting; especially if it retained the Greater Peruvian borders with which it was born. Now of course I don't know the history of Spain or of South America in this game but I think at the starting point (1840) Peru was in a pretty good position to establish itself as the dominant power on the continent; especially given that it was the Peruvian military, more or less, which managed the Spanish side of the independence wars and didn't do so badly. What they'd look like in '75 is anyone's guess, but depending on how deep the Carlist ethos is ingrained I'm thinking a Fascist-y, Francoist-y regime wouldn't be half bad.

IV. Kongeriget Færøerne -- 1861 Mk II

No, really. I know it is silly, but honestly the Kingdom of the Faroes is legitimately one of my fondest WiR memories. Is it a meme? Yes, obviously, but it's an adorable little meme and I think that it would be nice to have the Kingdom of the Faroes included in your fond farewell to us -- and our fond farewell to you as well. The Kingdom of the Faroes would have no relevance whatsoever on the world stage in 1975, but would absolutely be a cheerleader for NODO and probably be a friendly social democratic state with a blossoming tourist industry. The blossoming tourist industry is probably a good thing given that the only other option for powering the Faroese economy is fishing -- and as the twentieth century marches on that may get steadily less viable...

Completely unrelated to the above, I think your IC posts are marvellous -- if admittedly sometimes hard to read, although I appreciate how large they are -- and look forward to watching etranger try and keep Germany from falling to the Reds. The Vietnamese, Quebecois, Peruvian, and Faroese people all agree: Communism blows.

Revising...

1. Socialist Republic of Turkey ( WiR 1920 Mk. I)

The communist Turks find themselves with many unresolved conflicts in the '70s, having wanted to liberate Turks from surrounding regions ever since the Treaty of Montreuil in 1922. This could allow for many interesting situations to brew in Arabia, the Balkans and Mesopotamia alongside the already increasing tensions throughout the rest of the world. This, coupled with Turkey's power in the region, almost guarantees that the Turkish government will stick its nose in conflicts throughout the Mediterranean, Africa and the Middle East. Plus, someone needs to start spreading word of the joys that communism holds.

2. Empire of Brazil (WiR 1894)

The Brazilians had just launched a 'Humanitarian' operation as 1894 came to an end and with a government having a conflict resolution sort of foreign policy, some spicy scenarios could arise in South America. Who knows, Brazilian peacekeeping around the world could become the next big thing.

3. The Dominion of Canada (WiR 1920 Mk. I)

Even mentioning this Canada should be criminal... Defence of Arctic airspace, international involvement in peace keeping, playing a role in the defense of western Europe and the development of technology and weaponry are all areas that the Canadian government and military is heavily involved in. You won't find Canadians launching full scale invasions, but there is bound to be some interesting content produced by a playable Canada.

4. Republic of Spain (WiR 1920 Mk. I)

The Spaniards finished off in the 70s quite strong, with a booming economy, budgetary surplus and an adequate military. I'd personally like to see a focus on infrastructure, education and health care throughout the nation, improving overall quality of life and furthering the prosperity of the nation. Depending on how things play out at the international level, Spain would most definitely play a major role in any European, Mediterranean and African conflicts.
