Hello @BS666,

If I am understanding correctly, you are trying to point out that the spell is sometimes not doing Fire Damage, and sometimes not doing Frost damage? This is because the Wisps are immune to Frost Damage and the Scourges are immune to Fire damage. They are not however immune to the Magefire and Frozen afflictions.

Does that explain the behavior you are seeing? Or is there something I am not understanding about your post?

Thank you for all your help,
David

No.
The spell must deal with either ice or fire damage.

In the first video, everything works as it should be ice or fire damage.
In the second video, only ice damage is lost, only fire damage is dealt.

I do not understand by what principle one of two types of damage is chosen.

Why in the first case is chosen crushing or fire.
And in the second one, fire is always chosen.

For attacks that deal one of two types of damage, the damage type used will always be the one that the enemy has a lower resistance to. So since the Bronze Armiger has high crush armor, the spell will use Fire instead. in your first example against the Sky Blade Regent, crushing was used as it was either superior or the same as fire against that unit.
