$500,000 C-Bills a year to hang out and wait for one of your friends to be hurt or killed before rotating in to pilot a giant MurderBot.
Hey now. She's effectively Dispossessed by the boss' obsessive need to sell mechs.
So I seriously doubt she thinks of them as friends.

They're all part of the same team. Coach might be benching her but that doesn't mean she's not friends with her teammates.

To be fair, he’s been playing for like 50+ hours.
50+ of Sidestrafe Reality hours is quite a bit inflated in comparison to a normal experienced player's time spent. And again, I'm not going off of time spent - I'm going off of missions completed in relation to how quickly mechs are obtained, fitted, used for 3-5 missions, and then discarded for upgrades. That part has nothing to do with decision paralysis.

Yup.

This could be solved by just giving a smaller chance for cored mechs to generate salvage (...that intuitively seems like something that should be .json moddable?) rather than having it be guaranteed.

This is amazing. 20+ minutes of chat convincing Strafe to put PPCs and nothing but heatsinks on the Orion. Strafe finally relents.

Strafe: 'Yeah, alright, I guess I'll try this PPC build...'

At the moment, I think I'm actually a fan of 4 salvage pieces of a mech to be required to build a brand new one of that model. Getting 3 pieces of a Shadowhawk or Panther in this game feels like shooting fish in a bucket.

I disliked some of the people in chat saying large lasers are terrible .they aren't bad when only using then at longer ranges. Boating is a semi bad idea (I still expect to boat large lasers in my awesome 8Q [I know, the horror of removing the PPCs from the awesome]) with large lasers, but they are ok with one and a lrm or two and an AC.

Yeah, think it's mentioned on the previous page that you can mode this as you like.
We know we can mod whether or not we lose our 'Mechs when they get cored; altering the amount of salvage generated by cored 'Mechs would be another matter.

An hour to make a ghetto warhammer.
He isn't quick. I put him on as background noise and when I hear him start saying "hold on, I gotta think" I go find something else to do. Since 75% of my job entails sitting around waiting for something to happen, it makes it easier on me to not be wasting time when he is playing .I do wish he played faster though and then it would be more entertaining.

Yeah, think it's mentioned on the previous page that you can mode this as you like.

The other recent reference was about changing the chance of your own CT-cored Mechs being destroyed or not as Kiva said (it works on a slider) - I haven't heard about altering the chances of getting a salvage piece or not being a quick lever to mod.

However, Tyler did mention a JSON toggle for changing the number of salvage pieces required to assemble a Mech, which accomplishes pretty much the same thing.

Man that Onion with 21 heatsinks........WTF

If you had to make a PPC Onion then 2x PPC's with 2x LRM5's with 1 ton and 8 heat sinks

But even then you should be loading that Onion up with some close and personal stuff

Bias from MWO, probably, where LLAS have been relegated to garbage tier by PGI since launch.

I always thought they were a perfectly serviceable alternative to PPCs on the TT, even though PPCs got all the love.
