I think it underlines way more the fact that game doesn't actually teach you shit about its own mechanics.
Hmm, but it's in the tooltip for Brace ... so someone observant should know about that ^^

...yeah, and that was even a 3-Skull Mission. : (This video is going to be exhibit A against anyone who thinks this AI is "adequate."
Maybe it will improve by the 4 skull missions?...yeah, and that was even a 3-Skull Mission. : (
Well..my hopes are high for some AI tweaks until release, and later maybe mods....yeah, and that was even a 3-Skull Mission. : (
Just chill dude, you're ranting every minute about AI and whatnot - the game is NOT YET released.Maybe it will improve by the 4 skull missions?

Well..my hopes are high for some AI tweaks until release, and later maybe mods.
But with an unforgiving AI those missions would be nearly impossible without cheesy tactics.
Edit:

Stay tuned.![]()
I believe it was the terrain that "confused" the AI there. And I have hopes for 4 and 5 Skull Mission too. :bow:Well..my hopes are high for some AI tweaks until release, and later maybe mods.

I think I've made my point. No need to continue now.Edit:

On top of that, he once briefly looked at Zathras in the upper Northwest corner of the star map. It was about 6 jumps away, cost about 180k to travel (? I don't remember exactly), but it only took 27 days or so. As I remember it, it didn't seem to be overly expensive to travel halfway across the star map.Yeah, now I get why people were talking about this guy being hard to watch ><
Sits on 2.5 mil, refuses to try another planet with harder missions because everything in this game costs money....
Ok. Three mechs vs 4 heavies. A braced Quickdraw, a braced Cicada (stock) and a Thunderbolt in cover. What do you prioritize?
Yeah. It probably wouldn't be the Cicada, but oh well. >.>
Which just... stepped forward one hex and didn't shoot OR brace...
So you're thinking, might as well waste an AC20 shot on it, right?
As much as the haters do not like his style....he just scored a Thunderbolt!
[EDIT]: Ninja'ed
This really opened my eyes to instability bonus weapons to knock down enemy mechs more easily. 3 Wounds to KO a fresh mech looks absurdly good. Even a 4 wound pilot in a heavy mech that can take a beating looks feasible. It was fun to watch him get the Thunderbolt 5SE... I think the good luck charm for doing this was keeping Dekker alive. He just got a 3/3 TDR by stumbling on the order of knockdown and torso popping I've posted in other threads. Now that he knows this, if he keeps doing it, he's at victory lap mode.
