Side by side error

Hey, just installed this, i get a Side-by-side error when i try to play east india, when i choose it off the main menu nothing happens, but Privateer works fine.
sorry im useless at computers so im not sure what to do

Some have solved similar problem by installing 32bit x86 version of c++ redistributable even if they're on 64bit windows. Some discussion here. If the problem persists please post some more info about your hardware & operating system.
