In the last decade, the Dutch lands, Dutch merchants and Dutch people have been the target of ever increasing and more horrible acts of terrorism. These acts are of such a nature, and of such magnitude that they can only be government supported insurgents that aim to overthrow the peace loving Dutch royal family. In a show of strength, the sitting monarch held a speed to the Dutch parliament, in which he proclaimed that a Dutch reaction would be forthcoming.
Dutch intelligence suggests that there are only four possible nations that could be behind these acts of terrorism: Germany, the Ottomans, Rajputana and Vijayanagar.
Just as soon as the Dutch investigations are concluded a declaration of war will be sent to the culprit nation. Any nations that ally themselves with said evil empire, will be deemed part of the Axis of Evil and be included in the demand for reparations.

With the year 1700 fast approaching, and only five remaining great powers in the world, the world was gearing for war. Not 20 years ago the Axis coalition of Germany and Turkey had failed miserably in their attempt to invade the Dutch home lands. This war had been followed shortly after by the Rajputana invasion of the Arabian peninsula, where a war exhausted Turkey had been defeated in a series of border skirmishes and forced to retreat back several hundred miles to regroup. Had it not been for the intervention of Germany, this invasion could have spelled the end for the mighty Turkish Empire.
After the first major wars between the great powers, there were some intermediate years with relative peace and where diplomacy reigned. But this was all a ruse, because these years were used for nothing but military build-up, alliance scheming and military developments. Massive armament programs were initiated in all of the great powers for they had all anticipated the coming conflict.
In the year 1700 the world’s first global war broke out, despite past alliance it was initially hard for the smaller nations to actually comprehend the scale and scope of this “war to end all wars” and neither were the borders and allegiances completely clear, since not all nations would commit their forces on all fronts before they had gauged their potential opponents strengths and weaknesses.
The result of the war is history and known to all, and the massive bloodshed of the war will maim nations for generations to come.
