But one should keep in mind that they've also stated that the culture groups in vicky 2 are defined by different criteria than the ones in Eu3. The vicky 2 culture groups are all made with nationalistic unification in mind, unlike the ones in eu3 (probably for good reason as nationalism was still not the important force it would later become in the eu3 timeframe).
Some eu3 culture groups would require quite silly nations to have a union (yes I'm looking at you burman/tibetan group!)

It'd be called Hindustan or something, not India.

Why? The name India comes from the river Indus, so it is likely that the Indians would have called them India themselves.

Personally I'm in favour of Bharat or Bharatavarsha it's an old name for the entire greater indian area and it's the actual name chosen by the country of India itself when it formed (and the name it still carries) for that very reason.

Hindustan makes as much sense as India from a hindu perspective though, as both are names derived from the same river and both are in foreign languages
