I've noticed that during the WWW Japan part 4 when Daniel was choosing what regions he will capture he missed some with resources since there isn't an option of showing resources map on the peace table. Showing other types of maps would be nice, we could choose regions with more factories of that suffered less damage.

It couldn't - Germany will get first choice and normally would have so much warscore compared to say Iran that it could take everything of much importance, before Iran got a look in. Unless you completely forget where the oil is ;)

It occurred during the WWW between Daniel and Johan. When the USSR surrendered Daniel passed on his first turn which allowed Persia to claim the Caucasus. He didn't notice Persia did that and lost all that oil. To make matters worse Persia closed it's economy afterwards and refused to trade oil with Daniel.

But he's the best player in the world ;)

Guess he was just showing that it is possible to pass your turn, not that it's a good idea.

@_Fires_ That actually is already in. If you hover over a state in the peace screen, the tooltip will tell you how many factories and resources are in this state.

Edit: @potski beat me to the screenshot so see his post below for it.

It's great that you are able to see that information in the peace conferences - that's something I was wondering about myself. I hope that in the future (I imagine that there are other things the dev team wants to focus on before release), they will add some method of visually seeing resources and industry on the map, rather than the player needing to individually hover over each province. That would be a nice quality of life improvement, in my opinion. I also think there might be some rare situations where the state manpower information would be useful to see in the tooltip from hovering over the province.

It would be a very cluttered map. Note there is no map-mode showing the positions of the three factory types even in general play, you have to select each state individually, or use the construction interface to get an overview.

The game pauses in a peace treaty, even in MP. You have plenty of time to mouse-over a state to check you have selected the correct one that includes a specific resource you need. And you should already have a good idea before launching your offensive what your objectives are.

Actually, I just checked UK vs GER WWW and noticed that during Germany-USSR peace treaty game did not pause - battle progress icons were still updating, changing value, disappearing and new ones appearing. You can see it at, for example, 13:05. Additionaly, when the peace treaty started, the date was 20 Jun 1942, and when it ended, the date shown for a second was still 20 Jun 1942, but it immediately changed to 7 Jul 1942.

As for the single-player, in Hungary WWW game did pause during Hungary-Austria peace treaty: it started and ended on 11 November 1936.

It would be a very cluttered map. Note there is no map-mode showing the positions of the three factory types even in general play, you have to select each state individually, or use the construction interface to get an overview.

That's why, in my opinion, a good solution would be to allow switching between at least 3 map modes within the actual peace conference interface. The first mode being the exact same as it is now, showing the point cost of acquiring each state; the second mode being functionally identical to the current resource distribution map mode; and the third mode showing the industry in each state.

This way, neither the 2nd nor the 3rd mode ever needs to have more than 5 visible pieces of information per state, which is something that has already been made to fit for the resource map mode (since synthetic plant outputs are displayed on the resource map, it is certainly possible for a state to produce a little bit of each of the 5 resource types). The industry map mode, in my mind, only needs 5 pieces of information as well - number of civilian factories, military factories, dockyards, rocket sites, and nuclear reactors. The key info for synthetic refineries is already present in the resource map mode, and I think number of empty factory slots would be fine to leave in the tooltip the player sees while hovering over the state.

I do think that a general map mode showing the industry would be a helpful thing to add long term, in any event.

Yeah, having to hover over reach province to reveal crucial information isn't really a great solution IMO. Add mapmodes or putting that info on the main screen would be a good addition.
