Berlin Elevated Pillars
Model + LOD are finished, probably going to release as soon as im home again. Added a steelframework underneath the 12m mark, so if you elevate for more than 12 meter, it will look a bit more solit:

Buildings low density, level 2, 1x1 - 1x2 and 2x2 done. A little fed up with buildings now, I'll make a monument next. Shouldn't be too difficult. I love the show where the models are coming from, the problem is the lack of variety because in this world there's no middle class, basically. People on one side, and royalty on the other, nothing between. But I'll do the thing...

I'm scared now between reducing tris and make the textures/lod in a decent way...

Level 2.PNG

I tried to have variety by different heights for building, different shapes but try to keep the design of the show. Next level, the style will be more "chinesish", especially the roofs and tiles.

I love how you make it look like there's stuff inside your buildings.

Looks huge and awesome! Also looks kinda familar, is it based on a real building?

It's based on the One Chase Manhattan... but scaled down to be of correct proportions for a growable

(real pic of the Chase with a similar angle)

That looks like it's going to be a good one, Zed.

Thanks, I still have a lot of details to add and I might include a small plaza (like the real building has) at the bottom.

Thanks. :p And your building looks really good, too! How many tris ? How high in meters ?

It's 124m tall (for now... it might get one or two meters higher) and around 1600 tris for now but I still have roof junk and bottom junk to add... I think I won't go over 2000.

I love how you make it look like there's stuff inside your buildings.

First time I try it... I really like how it turned out. :)

So this is my unique monument, as you can see... Do you recognize the show where it comes from ?

The braces inside the metallic structures aren't done yet, but I think that in the end it will just be faces with braces drawn on it + alpha. It'll be ugly, probably, but I think that I already exceed the limit of tris allowed for a smooth experience in-game.

I must try to texture all that stuff now. (scared, actually, first time  ).

please check your triangle count before you start texturing. The lod will be tricky too.
Looks like a lot of triangles.
Yep, unfortunately. But : Things that are round will become square, and I'll decimate a lot. For the LOD, I'll replace all structure by surfaces with transparency. But yeah, it'll be tricky (and annoying, and boring and long...:p)

While i like those buildings, did you actually model every single rooftile?
Yes, but I'll replace them by a plan surface, and bake the normal map before texturing.

(sorry for image overload) Hey Guys, This is my first time posting here and after looking at all the great work thats going on in here i wanted to get in on the action, anyway im a graduate Games Artist and i love cities skylines. I also have a slight obsession with creating large airports in cities skylines i originally did it with mods from people such as BaskB and such but i wasnt satisfied (probably due to my ocd) so i decided to start looking at the scale of large international airports. I came across Incheon Airport in South Korea a image of which can be seen below. I really liked the shapes and contours on the building so i decided to try and do a somewhat scale-ish model of it (with some of my own design changes) to put into cities skylines (probably in peices - something which i may need help with from the more experienced modders - I would also like to get most of the Gates to work if possible). Anyway check out my very early WIP shots below mostly just a blockout. (for a vision of scale the planes are the same model used by Svenpotsdam for his 767)
