You don't have a problem with the texture because there is no texture involved. :laugh:

Your model needs to be UV mapped.

Make sure your textures have the same name as the 3D model. You can use png, tga, jpeg etc.
You need at least a diffuse map. It would be named yourmodelname_d.png and has to be put in the import folder together with your model.

And after that I spent a while modeling some kind of old-style home or building. It looked a bit cartoony at first but after I added some additional maps (they need tweaking though!) things started looking a mite better:

I'm working on Berlin-Style building and here is one of my creations made in rhino:

Unfortunately I'm stuck and I can't go through in making a good UVmap. I tryied with 3ds but this one in 1024x1024 seems to be too in low quality...

any help?

You can stack a lot of thoughs things ontop of each other if they using the same texture, they don't have to occupy separate space.

All thoughs windows are sacked in bottom Left, and rest of places are stacks of 4-10.

Watch these 2 videos to understand UVW Maps better... The first video will explain exactly what you need to do. The second video is a longer in depth guide on UVW maps in general. The first video will explain how to stack polys on top of each other to use the same texture space and save time. This is why its good to UVW map your object first and then duplicate stuff after you create a specific object you plan on cloning... cause then you can Unwrap UVW, stack the polys on top of each other and then clone away and you wont have to stack each one over and over again. They will all be stacked for every duplicate you do.

Note this is for 3DS Max but try to find some good UVW mapping tutorials for whatever program you use if you dont have access to 3DS Max
