'Show Mercy' peace option

This is just a random thought that occurred to me just now, so I don't know if it's actually a good idea, but I'll throw it out there anyway. How about a peace option called 'Show Mercy', maybe only available to the defending side, which gives an opinion/relationship boost of some kind with the opposing side, and/or maybe reducing AE with them, and maybe also nearby nations and/or the opposing nation's friends and allies? It wouldn't be compatible with any other demands, except maybe Concede Defeat, and perhaps scale with the amount of otherwise unused warscore, to represent a situation of "I could tear you apart right now, but I won't, and I hope you take that in mind next time we do diplomacy".

I've thought of something similar, how about forcing them into a royal marriage? It would give the normal relation bonus and it gives you the potentially-longer-than-a-truce insurance against further wars. I think I read somewhere an historic example of it, but I don't recall where.

I think you could do this for both EU4 and CK2. My scottish ancestors would marry for ceasefires or even to stave of the danish invasions
