resettling is already OP as hell, if pop growth was exponential anyone without resettling might as well just open the console and delete their planets

Looks like I may actually have found a bug. I'm looking at a world that has been invaded by the Preths. As usual, they landed their ground forces to purge the population. However, they're not purging anything. In fact, the population is steadily growing, even with lack of housing, goods and 11% happiness. In other words, population growth is quite persistent, even the Prethoryn can't stop it. :)

Unfortunately, the game has slowed down so much due to the code's inefficiencies that time is practically going backwards and actually passes faster on speed 2 than 3, so I'm going to consider this run ended. It's unfortunate really, since my system can easily take what the game is throwing at it.

Is it actually possible to erase a colony using the console without corrupting my game? Sometimes I just want to clear out a colony to make room for a ringworld. And resettling leads to me having to wait decades for demotions.

Imagine what real world would look if growth worked like in stellaris. Countries would colonize Antarctica where people would breed like rabbits doubling their numbers in 5 years and then government would resettle them back to motherland.
What else is there to do in Antarctica?
