Shouldn't all other mission rewards mercenaries also get Oyo Cavalry treatment?

This is what I mean by Oyo cavalry treatment. No costing army professionalism when recruited.

Army Professionalism takes decades to pile up, and some people who are attached to this feature like me, are so afraid of this meter going down and never recruits mercenary when professionalism reaches some level.

So, things like Knights Hospitaller from Knights become eye candy and never get to use themselves even though they're really hard to get. Giving them this Oyo treatment will solve the problem and all kinds of players now can use them happily.

Yes, I know many of the people are using army professionalism as a recruit general loot box mileage and turn the meter into free manpower as soon as possible. However, for these people, nothing has changed so no problem I guess?

It's kinda weird that recruiting a mercenary unit makes your standing troops less effective.
I agree. I think they should get a sort of "reverse drill" treatment, where you slowly lose professionalism over time in relation to how much of your total standing army is Mercs, mitigated by certain ideas and missions (the Swiss Guard immediately comes to mind, in addition to the above.)

Agreed. It's the number one reason I don't use mercs past 1450. Especially because army professionalism can already be turned into manpower anyway by slackening recruits.

When you are at 100% professionalism you get 50% general discount. The thing is, this discount is only removed upon the monthly tick when recruiting mercs. (Unlike slacken recruitment, which immediately removes the effect)

General cost reductions:
50% professionalism
25% noble privilege
10% innovativeness

So for 40MIL you can immediately and cheaply buy back your professionalism. It is like a really cheap slacken recruitment.

You know what is weirdest? At the time of game start mercenaries (and royal guards that were, at least in part, over-payed mercenaries) were the only troops that were professionals. Regular "national" armies became professional somewhere during XVIIth century (during 30 Years War).
