Something that occurred to me. As it currently stands, gaining council support from someone means that they will vote the same way that you do and temporarily hold the same stance as you. Necessarily, this means that you have to be on the council and vote as well.
Well, what if you got council support while not on the council. Currently, if you are the friend of a councillor, they consider your interests when voting. If you are friend to a councillor and the king decides to implement realm peace, the councillor will consider whether or not you're losing or winning a war when deciding how to vote.
So, should we be able to do this when a councillor owes you (a non-council member, perhaps even from a different realm) a favour. You call in council support and the councillor considers your interest when decided to vote. You're the target of the war, councillor votes no. You're the target of revocation/imprisonment, councillor votes no. You the owner of the province the liege is warring to claim, computer says n... I mean councillor says no.
I think this would be a nice way to add more intrigue to the process.
