So many people seem to be angry because their vassals love them and still want to dethrone them that I have come to propose something that could be done with that regard. EU3 had, since some expansion, more than just relations to show to the player. You can see who view you as a rival and who might fear you. So beside personal relationship, which were major at this time, maybe we could see a different reading saying what they think of us with a cold headed perspective.
Don't misunderstand me. I'm not saying we should scrap the relationship modifiers, which are perfectly well as they are, but rather that we should be able to know what the strategic interest of one character are instead of being told that this or that isn't in their interests for obscure reason. Some traits already exists that could make their action follow more or less this second reading, leading us to rely on one or the other. It could allow a cynic character to love as hell someone but still betray him, for example.
Of course, this is just a suggestion that comes to me because so many people want factions to be tied to the opinion the vassals have of them, but I wonder what you think of that.
