Should the discovery spread be tweaked?

Playing my first game, it seems to me that the discovery spread should be tweaked. I like this new concept but I think spreading is now too fast. I was Spain, thanks to spreading around 1480 I already knew many area of South America and Caribbeans (and I didn't yet discovered the national idea for the conquest of the new world). So I think the spreading time need some tuning.

Now yes. Not yet played but I saw developpers have already done the job in this 1.1. Paradoxians are always at the vanguard
