Should the Castration Opinion Penalty Be Smaller if the Target is an Infant?

Just what it says on the tin. After all, many historical societies (the Byzantines included) used eunuchs in prominent, trusted roles, and while I'm sure some of them were not entirely pleased by their involuntary surgery, the evidence weighs against the supposition that all of them hated the ruler's guts all the time (if that were the case, they would hardly have been so trusted.) If castrating infants were allowed with no opinion penalty (or a smaller one), you could, for instance, populate your council with them and have less scheming from that end.

Makes sense, if you ask me. There's a big difference between being castrated as a baby, and being castrated forcefully as an adult prisoner. Eunuchs who were castrated as infants should still have an opinion penalty (even if it's easier to accept when it happens as a child, few people would really be happy to have had that done to them), but a lower one. It fits in context and gives the player some more options.

As long as it was only for your own kids, I'd be all for this. Though there should be a Piety cost (at least) and probably some opinion modifiers with others as well.

The thing is that you are castrating your prisoner, and most prisoners you have are nobles.

Castrating a peasant boy to prepare him to palace duty is one thing, but when you castrate a prisoner you are doing it to humiliate him and intentionally severe his ability to extend his family.

I had REALLY bad feelings when I saw title of this thread. Paradox really crossed the line with whole "You are real piece of work aren't you?". (Which didn't stopped me from laughing anyway, muhahaha.)
What would be more reasonable solution, would be to add byzantine-only, LoR only, decision "Employ Eunuch", which would work the same as "Invite Noble to Court", except he would be lowborn eunuch.
The only problem with this solution would be, that this decision would be HORRIBLY overpowered - there would be no need for vassals other than landing eunuchs as feudal vassals - all will return to crown once they die. This would be essentially primitive bureaucracy/governors. Which would actually be somewhat historical in case of byzantines - certainly more than current "feudalism with greek names" solution.
