No, they are not. They do not believe in Holy Trinity dogma, which makes them non christians. Or, at vey least, should make them non-christians in game terms, since chiristians of all denomination do not consider them as such.

Nontrinitarian Christianity is a thing, both today and historically.

Not being Trinitarian doesn't make someone non-Christian- there are any number of Nontrinitarian Christian groups. The Mormons have their sort of weird not-exactly-Christian-but-not-exactly-not-Christian thing going on for other reasons- most notably, the added holy books.

So there were no christians before about 330. Trinity was developed after 325 according to wikipedia.

You can role-play Mormonism in game as Protestant. This will be even easier after the new expansion, which allows you to customize your state church. Too bad that you can't start from 1444 as Protestant, though.
Or the amish ( they actually are in the timeframe). If You take their believes you have to pay 250% more mana for technologies
See that would have a better claim to be in the game as Amish and Mennonites actually were established in significant numbers in the time frame
But even then they should just be a branch of protestantism or reformed, which ever is closer and implemented like the Catholic order decisions
Mormons is just not plausible in any half serious sense, I think Utah isn't even colonisable in the game and I still regard the entire topic as trollish at best.
Ok, a wrote it a bit wrong. They reject this dogma in a specific way (a triteism), which makes them not christians.
They believe in Holy Father, Son and Spirit, but as separate personas, not as a trinity.
It started as a Joke, but yes, I want to play an Amish Nation!¡! Slow or no technology development, no military, weird beards, bad (no?) education so only bad heirs and ministers, speacial soundtrack:

Only if by most You mean "almost none".
I don't know what that last remark was about, I'm only arguing about classification of this faith, not about whenever they are good or bad, nor about their religious beliefs. They are just as good or bad as any other relligion (as long as it don'tcause to kill people for god damned drawing).
Well, the question of trinity is not so easy, and surely it would be incorrect to say that it was not present before IV century councils, as it would be incorrect the opposite. It was during this timeframe that it was discussed and ratified (more precisely, after the council of Costantinople).
Anyway, the equation "Don't believe in the Trinity= Is not a Christian" is generally correct, at least as long as we have a satisfying definition of trinity.
For the Mormons, I think they should be considered Christians, maybe christians with a lot of bizarre ideas, but that could be said of almost every modern denomination.
