Should it be possible to equip Fleets with new vessels like Airsquadrons?

In my last game i think it would be inefficient when your most skilled crews handle your oldest ships.

Especial when your high experienced submarinecrews and captains go on missions with the old tech III submarines and the green guys get the state of the art hightechsubs IV and try there best.

Dont know what it was like at larger vessels but also here would it not be better to get your crews on the newest ships and send them in the first line and the old ships get new crews and do second line dutys?

How realistic is this?
Pretty sure sucessfull crews in the german navy get the newest stuff available.

At big Battleships and cruisers and also the procedure in other countrys i dont know. Anyone knows how this was done?

You make a perfectly valid point, but I'm not sure why you think air squadrons are done better. Only aluminium gets trained or gains experience, not people. If you send a hotshot group of tin to the reserves and then make a new wing from it, all the metal forgets how to fly and starts from green - pilots don't come into it. The game rather inconsistently regards troops as human, but not the other two services.
