Should I stick with Victoria for now or buy Victoria II?

I'm getting a chance to catch up on some gaming this winter break and I was wondering if Victoria II is a so much better game I should spend my time playing that.

I bought Victoria and the add-on improvement about a year ago but never got to play it much so there is still a lot of game in there for me.

Victoria II is currently on sale for only $20 so I was wondering about your opinions. Will there be more expansions and patches for Victoria like the level of support EUIII got?

Victoria will not get any new patches or expansions.
Victoria II expansions depend on how well the base game sells. That's what is keeping EU3 going; as long as people continue to buy expansions and Paradox feels they can continue to improve the game they will keep producing new ones.
