playing argentina in 1936. i have "absorbed" uruguay, chile and brazil. it's now 1939, and i'm waiting for chaos to begin so i can decide on my next step. my belligerence is at 41 so i'm wary about an american dow. my ic is at 41/36
i'm now a little over my TC load, so i've been thinking about maybe releasing a puppet and getting rid of some useless provinces. i've always been an "annex everything" player, and wonder if puppeting could in some instances be better.
my take right now is this:
the good part is that i'll get TC under control, get more resources, and lower my belligerence
the bad part is that i'll lose some IC (i'll want 4 more IC for an extra tech team), puppet troops could be of lower quality, and i have no control over what they produce
so is it a good idea for an argentina taking over south america to try puppeting? also what precautions could one take to avoid or delay war with the USA - i don't think i can win a direct war with them. i'm producing 3 militias to station at every beach province, will that keep me safe?
