as the title suggests im trying to decide which dlcs to get as im not super rich and every dlc + the base game i have bought off the gray market or on sales and im trying to decide wether to mare nosturm or wealth of nations
WEALTH OF NATIONS
  • reason im getting wealth of nations is switching my trading port (can someone tell me what the other trade reworks do?, because im going of by wiki info)
  • i might play reformed or hindu in the future
MARE NOSTRUM
  • reason for mare nostrum is the option to steal maps
  • promoting mercantilism
  • counter espionage and the few other sabotage options
i have most the major dlcs except mandate of heaven and third rome but third rome isnt worth it currently and
mandate is too expensive and wont be going on sale for a while and won`t be getting the colonizing dlcs cuz i never play colonizers nor feel its worth it

Both are relatively minor, so i'd suggest to just buy Mandate of Heaven, if you ever gonna play in Asia. Between those two, Wealth of Nations is better.
i dont plan to play in asia anytime soon , im not one of the ppl who only plays in europe but really the furthest east i ever start is persia and maybe india when i go for one of those achievements , is the Mandate Of Heaven worth to get just for the age mechanics and edicts?

+ im not gonna buy mandate until i can find it at like half price because twenty euro is far too much for just a dlc for me

East Asia is really fun though, 'tis a shame. The new DLC, Cradle of Civilization, is gonna get released on November 16th, and they usually do sales on previous DLC's when a new one is released, so you can get it then, if it will be discounted.
Age mechanics are fun, they give a bit of unique flavour bonuses for many european countries and alter gameplay a bit for everyone, but not worth it you won't use other parts of the DLC.

Definitely wealth of nations as trade companies are much more worthy than whole Mare Nostrum.

Mare nostrum is better. Wealth of nations trade feutures are either useless and almost forgotten or trade companies which are so op it isn't even fun anymore. Mare nostrum has condottieri which is a pretty cool mechanic and the merchant republic feutures in it are tons of fun. Merchants republics are basically just placeholders without it. The map insteractions are a fun gimmick for African/Native American nations. Barbary pirates can be annoying though.
