I hated division commanders and actually thought they werent necessary myself. This is a strategic level game and yet the forum is constantly filled with suggestions on a operational level. Its tough enough to get the game functioning as intended without it being some sort of hybrid. I have no problem with the divisional commanders if they had a better auto set up. You should be able to have it on auto and the proper leaders go to the proper spots (all the way up the chain). Looking at the demos it seems like alot of drag and drop sort of a setup which to me will really remove it from that wargame style. Playing HOI3 is like playing a board game on PC which is why many older players are attracted to it. The more they modernize the game for the newer generation i think us old timers wont be too happy. For example i wont play games just with sprites. Ive bought alot of PI games and play one, this one. If HOI4 didnt have counters id likely buy it, play it 10 minutes like the others and never look at it again. I like some of what i see so far, but tbh ive been shell shocked in the past by so many glaring errors, some to this day still not fixed, im sort of in a ill believe it when i see it mode.
