Fallen empires should definitely be updated to include some megastructure already build. Like the ones that don't have a ringworld could have instead a sensor array or Dyson sphere and all fallen empires should have a bunch of habitats. This way they would not need to cheat so much in order to be OP ;-)

Has anyone found any wrecked mega structures yet? I've not played as much as I want to (I'm self employed and the boss is a real jerk), but finding and possibly completing such things (or at least getting super large construction from studying the project) would be really cool.

Maybe even with a couple of events around it - a remnant tribe of regressed galactic builders living in the slowly decaying worker habitats ringing the half-finished dyson sphere, doing ritual "jobs" that have little to do with the actual work required to finish it as an inherited task to hopefully some day "return to paradise" (a broken ringworld 4 systems over, bombed into slag by an enemy).

Just something nice to join the mega structures to the landscape rather than have them just be something extra for cash.
I think wrecked mega structures didn't get added

Huh, oh well then. Just remembered the fluff about "you not being the first" and was curious to see if that was something they kept in mind for later. Sad. ^^
Well...
Broken ringworld kinda count... right?
Right?
Right?

Why should they care what their inferiors do? When you see a primitive species developing fire, do you send in the space marines and say "Stop that you fool! You have no idea what you are meddling with!"?

The fallen empires don't either (unless it's AI, which apparently has a theoretical chance of dooming us all, unlike megastructures).

The Imperium of Man, which is a good definition of a stagnant empire (but that's not due to them not doing anything, more due to internal, external and problems from beyond), would send the Adeptus Astartes if they are the only force close enough (and currently undeployed) if they see ANY species on the planet.
