Should communist/socialist Russia be called the Soviet Union? Should the Soviet Union be a formative state?

I know this question has already been on the forum, but it still haunts me.
The name Soviet Union does not tell us that it is Russia, but an abstract union of some republics. The historic Soviet Union arose from the collapse of the Russian empire into many republics after World War I and the Russian Civil War. United and indivisible, not torn apart by wars and national conflicts, communist Russia makes no sense to call itself the Soviet Union.
I thought that the more correct name would be the RSFSR (Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic), which was formed as a result of the October Revolution of 1917. However, the game does not yet have a mechanic / laws providing a federated state structure, so the word "federative" will be inappropriate.
For example:
1) Soviet Russia
2) Russian Soviet Socialist Republic
3) your suggestions

As for the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, this must be a separately formed tag. Perhaps there should be an event to change the tag, rename the country. Or it must be a journal entry requiring certain conditions to be met for the formation of the Soviet Union. Perhaps this will require the possession of certain territories, the implementation of certain laws, the adoption of certain cultures, or a gap of several years after the adoption of the law on the Council republic.

Word "Soviet" means "Council" in Russian. Only Russia can be Soviet and not a nondescript "Council" republic if you implement a socialist state there. Plus history associated with it, there can be no ambiguity.

I think that the Soviet Union is actually communism. The Soviet Union said that the proletariat should control the country. The parliaments actually said centralism and nominally an alliance. I wonder if it was just a vanity? In fact, they are managed by Supreme Soviets of the USSR?
Is it possible to claim to be an alliance externally, but actually it is no different from a country?

When people think of Commie Russia they think USSR or Soviet Union. RSFSR is a mouthful . As you mentioned there is no federal structure so it will have to do. Although you can release all the individual SSR's as puppets and they are named as such after flipping communist.

Why don't we call communist Russia Soviet Russia then? Why does it have to be "union"? Union of whom with whom? We know why it happened historically, it was a necessary measure to preserve the unity of the former Russian empire. But how to explain this in alt-history, if it were not necessary to create a "union of republics"?

USSR is fully generic name ... which was intentional, the Russian Bolsheviks thought the revolution would spread into rest of Europe. "Soviet Russia" has the benefit that it was how the country was historically usually known before they decided to establish a federal constitution.

For extra logical "fun", it would make perfect sandbox historical sense that tag "USSR" could be something that triggers simply for the first Council Republic country ever anywhere in the world that is (1) Empire tier and/or (2) has a set matching ideologies / laws that match "internationalist" and contains several different homelands as incorporated states.
