Should carrier bomber planes be merged into one type?

Carriers should be able to use the Naval Invasion Support button, just like the surface ships do. The planes should automatically know what divisions to support, just like the guns do now. Torpedo bombers (NAVs) used standard bombs instead of the torpedo when attacking targets on land, so all the planes on a carrier are usable to support an invasion, or any other battle for that matter.

The update is needed definitely. Sure, most players don't play post WW2, but the jet planes have no variants for CV either.

I wish the game had more content past 1945 with continuing local wars and a risk for WW3 between the two sides that come out victorious.
