Should "-10% Supply Consumption" from Land Doctrines appear as -10% Supply Usage in a template?

I was experimenting with the console, and researched the Infiltration Assault tech from the Grand Battle Doctrine. I was expecting to see a 10% drop in the Supply Usage stat on my Division Templates, but the number seems to be unchanged from before I researched this Doctrine tech. The other stats buffed by GBP are increased on the template, but not the supply one.

I see now that the Doctrine gives a modifier of -10% to "Supply Consumption" not Supply Usage. How does this differ from Supply Usage? Is it the same thing with a different name, or something else?


The wiki has this to say:

Supply Consumption is a general term for the amount of supplies and equipment being expended each day by the military. The supply map mode helps to understand how much supply is being consumed/produced in a given Supply Area, and the Logistics Window will indicate how much equipment is being utilized throughout the entire nation.

So maybe this Doctrine tech reduces usage of supply and also usage of equipment? Here's a screenshot of the Doctrine tech in question:

And here's the same template after I researched GBP Doctrines. The Soft Attack, Defense, Breakthrough, and Org all increase as expected, but the Supply Use is unchanged.

Open up the template of an actual division in the field. The -10% shows up there.

I agree that it should probably show up in the division design window as well, but it doesn't.

A recent in-game test using the console confirms that @el nora is correct. See screenshots below.

Thanks for the confirmation, el nora and Mr. Analyst.

After further experiments, I found that the supply benefits from Mass Assault / Deep Battle work the same way. So at least it is consistently incorrect on the templates on the troop training interface.

There is the same visual display bug for the Max Entrenchment buffs from the Grand Battleplan and Mass Assault Land Doctrines, but at least you are getting the correct effect when it counts in combat.
