It's not an important thing but a nice to have. I find it irriating when I see "Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere". It's original Japanese name is this one 大東亜共栄圏 or Dai Tōa Kyōeiken. Which translates as "The Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere", but it's a lot shorter when you spell it in Japanese.

There are similar other long name factions in Hearts of Iron 4:

Allies, Axis and Comintern are short. While the United Chinese Front is the historical name and not as long as the GEACPS. But for the rest:
1. Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere -> Co-Prosperity Sphere
2. Novus Imperium Romanum -> Pact of Steel (a faction called "The new roman empire?" what non-italian would join that? especially Bulgaria; If Italy doesn't make the Pact of Steel with Germany, it creates its own faction called the Pact of Steel)
3. The Berlin-Moscow Axis -> Remain the Axis (United by anti-capitalism: "there is one common element in the ideology of Germany, Italy, and the Soviet Union: opposition to the capitalist democracies, it seems to us rather unnatural that a socialist state would stand on the side of the western democracies"; but still fire the event where everyone democracy/non-aligned joins the Allies)
4. Międzymorze - Intermarium (Between the seas)
- Anti-Soviet Pact, Little Entente, Stressa Front - good names.

Factions in TFV:
5. Northern Sovereignity Coalition -> Northern Coalition
6. South-West Pacific Initiative - Pacific Initiative
The rest are good names.

Factions in DOD:
7. Pan-Slavic Worker's Congress/Geater Balkan Worker's Congress -> Workers' Congress (Albania is not Slavic and communists didn't care about ethnicity)
8. Union of Communist Soviets -> The Communist Union (Union of communist soviets, you mean a Soviet Union? that name is already taken)
The rest are good names.

Factions in WTT:
All are good names.

Factions in MTG:
All are good names.

Factions in LaR:
9. Confédération du Rhin -> Rhine Confederation (to keep the English names consistent, the French translation could have the Confederation du Rhin)
All others are good names.

Factions in BftB:
10. Balkan Federation of Socialist Republics -> Balkan Socialist Federation
11. League of Balkan Confederacies -> Balkan Confederation
All others are good names.

And as a side note, when Bulgaria completes "The Fate of the Balkans" focus, please remove the "cannot join factions" criteria. The AI is unlikely to join any factions, because the AI is unlikey to disband his own faction. While the players may want to join what factions they want. As far as realism is concerned, even if this is the "ultimate badass Bulgaria", an ultimate badass Bulgaria might find it wise to work with other nations who have no overlapping claims.

The "Treaty of Reciprocal Assistance" (created from the USA focus "Hemisphere Defense") is long enough to wrap around in the alliance names field of the country/diplomacy panel. That is is what you wish to avoid, no?

Maybe a different UI design choice would be to increase the size of that field, so historic and quasi-historic alliance names could actually fit in it.

Not necessarily that but you make a good point too. When making an alliance, I would like it to be referred to as "the Workers' Congress" not "that Yugoslav alliance" or "Intermarium" not "that Polish alliance". I would like all alliance names to be short and in english.

The "Treaty of Reciprocal Assistance" is really blunt I admit, as all alliances are treaties of reciprocal assistance, but I couldn't think of anything better, the Washington Accords maybe? There is also the "West Pacific Treaty Organization" but I liked that one because its name is similar to NATO, although WPTO doesn't have the same ring as NATO.
