I was reading the wiki and found this under "Construction cost & Power balance," for "Ship designer:"
A ship with an over-positive power balance enjoys improved performance, proportionate to power required. This improvement is equal to 20% * (1 - Power Required / Total Power ) to Weapon damage, and 10% * (1 - Power Required / Total Power ). This formula leads to diminishing returns on the gain, with 33% excess power granting a 5/2.5% boost, 100% granting 10/5%, and 300% granting 15/7.5%.
The improved performance shows two calculations. One for weapon damage and the other (the formula starting with 10% that I have underlined), does not specify what is boosted.
I was unable to find this in a search on the forums, so sorry if it has been answered a few times, I must've used the wrong key words.
Anyways, can someone tell me what the second calculation is a boost for please?
Thanks.
