Ship and structure textures not showing correctly

I have a problem where the ships/structures in my game are very weirdly coloured, as in white or grey or sometimes even pink. I am using windows 10, so the only complaint about this I found online didn't help because they had linux.

This glitch doesn't affect gameplay in any way, but when I go to the ship designer menu, I'm met with an ugly, vaguely ship-shaped blob. I have already tried verifying the game cache on steam, but it didn't seem to fix it. It started after I had to reinstall the game in order to fix a more serious problem of the game not being able to start up. The farthest I could get was after clicking "load latest save". The game started working after the re-install but this problem started at that point.

I have also tried updating my graphics drivers to no avail.

does anyone have any suggestions?

Please do a full **clean** re-install:

- move any valued save games elsewhere
- "delete local content" in Steam-Stellaris
- manually delete both the Steam/SteamApps/common/Stellaris AND Documents/Paradox/Stellaris folders
- re-install game in Steam, run a Steam Verify when done.
- start the game with no mods active and test

In particular you need to make sure there are no files or folders left under either the Steam Stellaris or Documents Stellaris locations, before installing again.


IF that doesn't help, DXDIAG is a program you run from a command prompt or the Windows start menu 'run' dialog box (or 'search programs' in Windows 7 or later). After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the 'save all information' button and save it to a file then attach that file here.

Please attach your Documents/Paradox/Stellaris/settings.txt. From your Documents/Paradox/Stellaris/logs/ folder, attach system.log .
