I thought it merited its own post when I saw a Shi'ia Rising pop up during a crusade against the Caliph for Palestine. The Rising took place in Egypt, and the rebels started sieging Sinai. This would have led to a nasty situation for the crusaders if they were hostile. Thankfully (as my king was on that crusade), they are not.

This means the Caliph has two threats to deal with — for the time being, because I'm pretty sure someone's gonna raise the banners in India or Persia and/or Byzzies may sense the opportunity — as opposed to sitting back while the threats (i.e. Shi'ia Rising and the Crusade) deal with each other.

So, while I normally say a lot of negative things about unnecessary hostility in this game — including in particular Asturias vs Umayyad Catholic revolt or Armenians from Armenia fighting Armenians rising against Rum — this one merits its own thread on the positive side.

So my suggestion is twofold:

1. Please don't change this (in particular don't change it for the sake of consistency with the rest of such situations).
2. Please re-examine other rebel types in the light of this. In particular religious rebels, which is basically what the Shi'ia rising is, despite being handled as a separate type of war.

Thanks.
