Not that funny when it happened, but I can laugh at it nowadays. I lived in Uppsala when I got a job at Paradox as a scripter and had to commute 2 hours one way to get to Pdx headquarters. My first day started great; I got to the train station at Uppsala and realized with a sinking heart that no trains were running between Uppsala and Knivsta, a small town in between Uppsala and Stockholm. It was January, cold as hell and I wasn't really properly clothed for Swedish winter. Buses were called in and I finally found where the queue to them started... two blocks away! I managed to phone someone at Paradox and tell them that I would be late. I arrived at Paradox an hour before lunch and I was really lucky; podcat also lived in Uppsala then and he hadn't even managed to get into work that day! Since then, it became somewhat of a competition between us; who would arrive at work first? I think I won when podcat moved to Stockholm.
