As a reminder, persons who are not members of the Conservadores should not vote on the Partido Nacional.
((The only reason I'm not a part of the conservadores is because I was waiting for the reactionary party. As I voted pretty much conservative, will my vote still count? I figure you're just getting a head count of how many would want to join anyway.))
I vote Yay to the Partido Nacional, if we are to be a true democracy, then all opinions, even those regarded as backwards or reactionary, must be represented, for what democracy would this be if only ideas considered "Conservative" or "Progressive" were represented? Then we would be literally forcing the people to make decisions WE think are best, rather than them.
If you listed your party as Partido Nacional originally or if you're a very passionate independent then you may vote, but I must insist that the Liberales not vote in this poll. It also seems like the Yeas have a compelling lead already, so it may not matter.

Just as I predicted senator Badajoz won and can now assume the office of the presidency of our nation. Chile will surely grow strong under his leadership. In my opinion the next step is to strengthen the Middle Class, because that will attract more immigration from Europe here. Our republic would benefit greatly from skilled immigrants who share our Christian religion and our great European race.

Why does whether or not we're a true democracy matter if you despise democracy? You do not make sense.
Besides, we all know you would suppress any and all opinions besides your own, were you to obtain power. You are not very much one to talk.
It is anathema to have a party form OPPOSING Democracy, and using our glorious Democracy to fight for their reactionary policies. I have no voice in this election as it is a conservadore issue, but I assure the people of Chile that your president will oppose such anti- Freedom policies.

And the term "reactionary" is relative. A conservative man may seem "reactionary" to a liberal, so should the Conservadores be outlawed then? If we are to be a true democracy, ALL points of view must be represented in a party.
Once more, if we only represent ideas seen as "progressive", then we are a faux democracy are we not? And anyhow, if the people want laws to be rolled back, then they WILL vote for the Partido Nacional, this is democracy is it not? The people vote for who they want, who will do what they want?
