You need both to have the Horse Lords functionalities, this is only a paradox extension for the game. I believe Steam explains that too. If you have the base game, you get all free patches, but not LoR or Charlemagne which concern Byzantium.

You can mod this bu changing the number in the defines. Otherwise there is a converter towards EU4.
which is the best or you consider is it europa universalis 4 common sense or crusader kings 2 horse lords or the real on crusader kings 2 or europa universalis 4?
Same here, if you don't have EU4 or CK2, the DLc's are worthless.

Horse Lords is an expansion to Crusader Kings 2 and not a stand alone game like Total War: Attila. In order to play the expansion you will need to also buy the base game.

There is a 80% discount on the game and 25% on Horse Lords right now on Steam I think. So you should be able to get both for like 20€

The map extension was given for free, with a lot of other features as well, in a patch that came with the expansion. With Horse Lords you will be able to play everything in the base game as well.

Eu4 covers more of the world than CK2.

Yes, you need to buy the base game. You can play Byzantium if the expansion is enabled, but if you only want to play that, you can use the vanilla game. EU4 has a global map, and it has the same map with or without Common Sense. LoR is Leagacy of Rome, a flavour DLC which adds content for Byzantium as well as retinues. If you buy Charlemagne, it still requires the base game, it is not standalone.

Yes

3. what year begins in europa universalism common sense?
Same as Europa Universalis 4, 1444

4. whats lor?
Stands for Legacy of Rome which is a small expansion for Byzantium

5. and lf l buy charlemagne also and lor then can l play horse of lords and still get the features of charlemagne and lor?
Yes, our model for our expansions is to let you puzzle together them how you want and only pick what you find is important.

6. if l buy horse lords then do l get all the expansions as well except for lor and charlemagne?
No you don't

7. what year begins in crusader kings horse lords?
1066 if you don't have the expansions called The Old Gods or Charlemagne.

1. must l buy all expansions to get all expansions on crusader kings 2 horse lords?
If you want to have all expansions, yes you have to either buy them or buy a collection pack. But if you are only interested in Horse Lords features you only have to buy Horse Lords, you don't need any other expansion to make Horse Lords work.

2. lf l have the expansions charlemagne and the old gods, what year it begins?
In Charlemagne it starts 769 AD, in The Old Gods it starts 867 AD

3. does europa universalis common sense have naval battles?
Yes it does

3. does crusader kings 2 horse lords have naval battles?
No it doesn't

4. lf l buy europa universalis 4 common sense do l have to buy all expansions to that game?
No it is exactly the same as how it works on Crusader Kings 2.

5. does the year ends on europa universalis common sense and can l continue the campaign? is it the same with crusader kings 2 horse lords?

When you reach the end date of Europa Universalis which is the year 1821, the game ends. There are however several free mods in Steam Workshop and on this forum you can download that will let you extend your play time. The same goes for Crusader Kings 2, but for Crusader Kings 2 there is also a save game converter that will let you convert your game in Crusader Kings 2 to Europa Universalis 4.

1. whats the big difference between europa universalis 4 common sense and crusader kings 2 horse of lords?
CK2 you manage a ruling dynasty of any christian feudal nation or christian tribe at the time (some expansions unlock new religions others new governments for example Old Gods unlocks pagans while the Republic unlocks merchant republics for you to play.) EU4 on the other hand you play as a nations where the dynasty has little affect on you since the ruler only affects the amount of monarch points you get each month and EU4 is based in the age of discovery while CK2 is based in medieval period
2. why do crusader kings 2 horse lords not have naval battles?
It is not in the game mainly because there were very few Naval battles of note at the time
3. lf l buy both charlemagne and the old gods then what year it begins?
You can choose between any of the start dates if you buy both.
4. can l choice my own capital in crusader kings 2 horse of lords and in europa universalis 4 common sense?
Yes you can in both.
5. does it say on crusader kings 2 horse lords how many population there are in the city in numbers and is it the same with europa universalis common sense?
CK2 and EU4 really don't show population since through most of the the time period that both games are based in there were little records of how large the population is. But Hoards in Horse Lords do have a basic population mechanic.
6. if l buy charlemagne and horse lords will the year still end in 1444 then if so then l should probably then play crusader kings 2 because it have longer play time? l think?
It will still end (although the end date is actual more like 1453 I think) and you could but in reality most games of CK2 last a long time so you the end date might not affect you before you get tired of your current campaign.
7. if l buy all expansions to europa universalis 4 then do l get all features and updates when playing common sense?
You get all the free features the current model the paradox uses for DLC is that Expansions unlock new features and pay for the free patch that comes out but the free patch often contains a few smaller features. But no you will not get all the features from previous expansions if you do not own them.
8. when playing a saved game in crusader kings 2 and europa universalis 4 then when an update arrived can l also get the update even if playing a loaded game?
No the update will wait till you stop playing before it loads. But updates sometimes break your game so you can roll back to the last stable patch before the update in most cases.
My advice is you watch some videos about the game to get a feel for them. To put it simple they are not for everyone. Youtuber Arumba often plays CK2 and EU4 so you might get a feel of the games from his videos link is right here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCISPcad-6svNxgViVr_syvA
Also look on the forums and on the wiki's if you decide to buy the games for good spots for new players to start.

l want to buy crusader kings 2 but due to the fact that it got no naval battles l am thinking about buying europa universalis 4:(

You could argue either way as CK2 simulates the growth of dynasties and somewhat shows the interaction between church and rulers at the time while EU4 has a huge verity of historical events and simulates the Reformations quite well but both games have a large verity of ahistorical things you can do for example reforming the Zoroastrian Church in CK2 (if you have the Old Gods) or Reforming the Mayan Religion in EU4 (El Dorado.) So more or less both are equal in quite a few ways. I hope that helps you make your decision.

What got the best upgrades when it comes to byzantines? Does Europa universalis 4 have upgrades to byzantines?
For Byzantines both have a respective DLC for the me Legacy of Rome for CK2 that adds Retinue (for everyone), gives them a verity of events, and a two decisions one is to restore the Roman Empire the other is to Mend the Great Schism(Orthodox only) EU4 has a minor event pack called Purple Phoenix that adds some events and decisions to the Byzantines in EU4 but most of the events are hard to do because they had their foot in the grave at the time.

do l have to buy music of the world or music packs, flavor packs and the others or will l get them automatic when buying europa universalis 4 common sense and all expansions? is it the same in crusade kings 2?
The Music packs and the Unit packs are separate from the DLC the reason is to lower the price of the main DLC and to let people pick and choose what they want.
