I'm not discussing your first point because I don't know enough to do it, but as for the second, upgrading the monarch, aren't you missing something? The very point of the monarchy is the fact that some tool inherit the kingdom because who was his alleged father! You want to be able to chooce every once in a while between a selection of leaders? Play a republic or transform your government in one. Being able to upgrade a king would just be gamey, not historical at all.

Once this thread is almost over because of the releasing of the game im just answering this as a badge of honor in defense of my first real (and not test) post.

Im really sorry that you dont believe in education. im really sorry that you dont believe men can "upgrade" themselves. Im really sorry you believe that every single king that has rulled over a piece of land has had the same characteristics (traits) since the day he was born to the day he had died.

Im really sorry that you believe that a man´s progress is too gamey.

But well, didnt bob dylan say that life is a just game?

in the name of the Lord, where did you read "choose" kings? When did the word "upgrade" became a synonym of "choose"?

Uffff. Thank you all, sorry you all. Now im relieved. This wont happens again. I swear. Just because of the first post stuff. Im sorry, ...

I don't get why people consider it to be day-one DLC. It's just the things you could have gotten, but since you missed out on it, you can't. That's if there wasn't "Day-One DLC" (scare quotes invoked). But because there is, anyone can have the privilege. But it would have been better if you pre-ordered and joined the Call to Arms event though. Too late now! But you can still buy the bonuses you missed out on! I sound like a maniac! I'm crazy! I'm shutting up...
