I just installed 1.102 and 1.103 back to back since I did not have much time to play recently. I have the right checksum when I start the game : WQLL. Once in the game (savedgame) I notice several counties that are unavailable and unplayable, labeled as ''no character'' and coloured dark grey in the Independant Realms map filter: Amalfi, Bar, Tjust, Möre, Lepiel, Roslavl, Sharawrah ... When I resign and go back to the menu the checksum change to VQLL. I use the GG version with several DLCs but no mod. Is anyone else having the same thing happening ? Any way to fix it ? TIA

Hi Grunzen,

The checksum will always change when you come out of a game. It is required to restart the game to get the right checksum again and is nothing you have to worry about.

The savegame, did you use that in any previous patches (pre 1.10?)

FYI there was no need to apply both, all you need is the GG game install and the latest patch. And yes, if you tried to play a save game from 1.09x or earlier under the latest patch you can expect problems.

I did use that savegame with 1.101, so right up until I updated to 1.102 and 1.103, and didn't see those bugs. I don't remember what was the patch number at the time I started that game but I know for sure that I created that savegame under 1.101. So, is there anything I can do or should I start over or keep playing and make do with the inaccessible counties ?

Thanks for your attention.

If you play a savegame from before Amalfi and some of those other counties were added to the map (they didn't exist in the original CK2 map) then there won't be any data for owners of those counties in your save. Before long someone will claim them and the game will go on as usual and they'll no longer be gray. They are just currently empty so there's no one for you to play in them.

If you try to start a new game they should be populated with rulers that you can choose to play.

OK, thanks a lot. I just don't have time to play these days, overworked, but I'll check that when I have time :)
