I wanted to make a city where the residential zones were not only accessable for traffic. I would build a zone and include all the services. However, the services glitch out and dont work all over the city. I understand it is because they are trying to drive in/out of the zone and cant.
Is there not a way to fix this? This is super annoying...

That solid red road on te left essentially means nothing is getting through to or from that side of the city.

I'm no gameplay expert on this game, I don't know whetherthat city is rescuable or not, I'm sorry! But I'm sure that's the cause.

The services need full accessibility by road to all area due to fact a vehicle can be dispatched from any service building to any other building anywhere on a map.

A city may work for a period of time disconnected but at some point a service will start to fail and you’ll see warning icons start to appear.

You have a couple options.

Build a road to the area but demolish 1section and only build it when you reach a point you need a service to enter the area

Demolish the complaining buildings if or when they appear so the call for service is removed and the ai will move on to its next call for service

Myself tho , I’d build a small tunnel road between each area and hide the entrances so it’s less obvious visually. Now to keep regular traffic off this road locate the entrances in the furthest points between the areas so the sims ai travel routes should remain focused on public transport between the areas while the service vehicles will have no choice but travel this route. You may likely still get some local traffic use this route or see delays in service due to long travel paths but it’s about the best I can think of atm to achieve a segregated appearance but not be plagued with warning service icons
