she had broken her game cd in an accident, and she thought that legitimatly gave her permission to go into eMule and just download it.

Well I wouldn't think so... I had an experience like this were I broke my disk for CM 01/02, I almost got banned from the forums for asking about a "Cracked CD" but then one of the team (who frequent the forums like here) advised that if I sent back the original CD to them they would send out another.

I don't know if this means that your friend was correct... or if the company were just nice, but my first option if I broke my CK/EU/Vicky/HOI CD would be to ask around the forums to see if Paradox did this.

Anyway... I don't really have a problem with registering a game, even if it is a little annoying and with some of the larger companies (NOT Paradox) a bit 'big brotherish'

Do you mean "at the same time" as in, having both open in front of you and playing them both silmutaneously (sp? I'm foreigner)?

Or do you mean having it installed on both and playing on one or the other as the mood strikes?

Because if it's the latter, that's B.S. It would be like buying a second CD if you want to listen to something in the car rather then in your stereo.

If you make 2 installations for your own personal non-simultaneous use then you're fine. If you make 2 installations that are intended to be used by 2 different individuals then you are engaging in piracy because, by all rights, each user should purchase a copy for his/her own use.

Yes. It's legal to install it on 10 computors as long as you don't playing on them silmutaneously.

Umm, what about multiple personality disorder? If one personality buys the game, are the other allowed to play as well. IE. If Norman Bates' mother buys it, can Norman play? Or his bunny?
