Is it possible to use the Golden Dragon and Red background of the Septim Dynasty Coat of Arms? I want to play as "Tiber" earlier ingame. Is it possible? And if it is... could someone please show me step-by-step?

Thank you.

If you open up the save file and go to your character, there should be a number representing his dynasty. if you change this number to 1, then he will be a Septim.
edit: Looks like you can only edit if you don't compress the save file

The compression is just a simple zip archive; you can open the compressed "savegames" with something like 7zip and then extract the actual savegame inside.

I just want to be able to use the Septim's Dynasty Emblem (Coat of Arms) when designing my own dynasty during a new game. I was wondering If that is possible. And if so.. how could I mod in within the Elder Kings?

You would have to make a flag file for the septims like you would any of the custom ones we use - So depending on how dynamic you want it, you're going to have to copy/paste/rename it or load up an image editing software and add each layer independently.

Well... I tried doing what they suggested. Just add my character I create to the Septim Dynasty... but whenever I load up my savegame, I'm unable to choose anything in the map. So I ended up deleting my save games and looking pretty lost. I am not going to lie but I actually bought Crusader Kings 2 after I learned that they have a Elder Scroll mod. That was all.

Anyway, thank you... I guess? :confused:

Step One: Find the Septim dynasty id.
Step Two: Go into the mod's events folder, create a new txt file there and put this into it (with the Septim id in the marked place):
Code:
character_event = {
   id = 999888777
   desc = "EVTDESC"
   picture = GFX_evt_courtiers_talking

   is_triggered_only = yes

	option = {
		dynasty = theseptimdynastyidcomeshere
	}
}

Step Three: Create a character and load up as him.
Step Four: Enter the ingame console with ; button (next to the 'L' button).
Step Five: Enter 'event 999888777' and press enter.
Step Six: The event should fire, click on the sole option.
Step Seven: Your dynasty should now be Septim.
Step Eight: Delete the created event file.
Step Nine: Voila.

He didn't hold Cyrodiil at first. If anything Tiber would begin as a courier Marshal in game. Basically a general under Emperor Zero aka Cuhlecain. He however, held some of Cyrodiil. The Colovian Estates and Falkreath (De facto Cyrodiil at the time. Tiber then gave it to Skyrim).

I'm talking about after Cuhlecain's death.

Tiber became the first in command of the army, and thus, the emperor.

Trust me, I've read about this on UESP.

"Finally able to turn his attention to internal affairs, Cuhlecain unified the Colovian Estates in under a year. Not much more passed before the rest of Cyrodiil shared a similar fate, with the Imperial City itself being captured in 2E 854. Just about as he was preparing to crown himself Emperor of All Cyrodiil, Cuhlecain was assassinated, circumstances of which are subject to much controversy. In his stead, general Talos was crowned by the Imperial Battlemage Zurin Arctus as Tiber Septim, founding the Septim Dynasty. Over the next ten years he waged war with most of the neighboring nations, to claim them for his new Empire, but never again doing it personally, preferring to work on administration of the newly conquered territories.[2] The jarls of Skyrim and the petty kings of High Rock were the first to fall."

I've read it too.

That was after he started. I suppose we're both correct, depending on where we say Tiber 'started'. :)

He 'started' uniting Tamriel when he controlled Cyrodiil (so not small), yet his career started when he was a landless warrior (very small).

I'm talking about when he became a ruler.
