Unless you're a poor chappie like m'self, with $20 in the funny money budget for the month- I had just managed to convince the girly that going $4 over would be acceptable (accountant women... eeep!)

Anyhow, like I said, the discount was an incentive, and in this case due to the deployment, it may have actually had the opposite effect on those of us with thinner skin and weaker wallets

Except when it is. I realize that you folks across the sea are doing rather better then us dumb american's money wise, but currently my wallet is the most sensitive bit of my anatomy.

I am again sorry that the Facebook pre-order experiment didn't turn out as expected. There were some complications that restricted us from keeping it up for longer than 24h. The fact that the messages seemed to hit your Facebook mailboxes after it went live and without noticing you didn't exactly facilitate. However, we learn from our mistake and will thus manage campaigns like this one better in the future. Soon, the ‘regular’ pre-order will go live. You won’t get a 20% discount but there will be another pre-order bonus. We’ll tell you about it as soon as it goes up.

I hope you can accept my apology on behalf of Paradox and that you are still looking forward to the release of Sengoku.

Thank you for the apology. This actually does a lot to soothe my anger and annoyance that the day you decided to do a 24h special offer was the day I left town for a convention that'd been on my calendar for months. It still stings, though, that I'll never get that 20% discount. At least, not without a whole hell of a lot of waiting.

...okay, so my anger isn't entirely soothed, but at least I've stopped screaming for satisfaction...metaphorically speaking. This really sucked and should definitely be handled better next time.

The HOI3 preorder bonus has been there all along. It was there yesterday and the day before that. I checked.
So it turns out there was absolutely nothing extra coming up on the 9th as was announced Disappointment upon dissapointment...

Sure, I'm going to preorder it anyway because my hardcopy of HOI3 isn't on GG and I actually want to play Sengoku, but it still leaves a sour taste in my mouth that someone slaps me in my face, says sorry and then takes my money. I'm certainly not left with a warm fuzzy feeling.
