Gaius Draconius and Lucius Aquila inform the Senate, that an envoy has been sent to Massilia, but couldn`t achieve anything. Another envoy was sent to Egypt in order to improve relations, but fails too.

Quintus Livius Varro starts a rather unsuccessful voyage through the Republic, since only the happiness of the population in Aquitania improves by 5.
Due to the Gaul War, the Happiness in all Provinces is reduced by 1.
Provinces with below-average happiness are Bruttium, Liguria, Venetia (46 each), Umbria (44), Apulia (41), Campania (35), Aquitania (32), Central Gaul, Latium (27 each) and Narbonensis (30).

Tiberius Belisarius reports about several constructions being finished. The fortifications in Central Gaul and a Temple in Umbria have been build without any nameable events. But due to his successful negotiations with suppliers of construction material, the cost of the Temple in Etruria is reduced to 200 Denarii.

The management of the tax collection has been managed in an outstanding way by Sextus Atilius Aelianus, thus the tax revenues of the last six months are higher than expected and sum up to 1.331 Denarii. The Treasury holds 4.188 Denarii.

4 Legions receive reinforcements.
Tribune Decimus Curiatius moves to Lugdinensis with one Legion in order to crush the slave uprising. In a short onslaught with no own casualties, the slave army is defeated and the survivors crucified in the aftermath.
Tribune Decimus Cominius orders a final assault on Narbo Martius. The Garrison, weakened from hunger, can`t defend itself properly anymore and is quickly defeated. Thus the Province of Narbonensis is once more under roman control.
Tribune Gaius Geminius continues to siege Belgica. Both sides suffers small casualties due to the cold weather.
Tribune Aulus Manlius Merula tries to capture the city by storm, but his forces are repelled by the Garrison. Both sides suffer small casualties.
In a desperate attempt to break the siege, Vercingetorix makes a sortie. Tribune Gnaeus Scipio Lentulus, having foreseen this, easily pushes the Gauls back after having suffered heavy casualties. Unfortunately, Lentulus has lead his men in the first battle line and is among the few roman dead.

Numidia starts an attack on the Carthaginian forces in Gaetulia, but suffers a severe defeat and retreats immediately. The superior forces continue to siege Gaetulia and Mauretania. Having lost hope to be relieved the cities of Tingi and Dimmidi finally surrender. Having lost most of its income and unable to pay his troops, the King of Numidia has can rely on the Garrison in Nepte only. Warscore: 18 (Carthage)
