The first week of voting was very successful!

Below are the results from our Senatus Populusque sub-forum.

Salvete, citizens!

We are pleased to see that many of you have submitted their suggestions. Thank you for making your voice heard!
As agreed, you will find below the three suggestions that received the most positive votes over the past week.

In the first position, with 69 votes is the thread titled “Province and pop-based levy system" launched by @Rhaegar1

The second suggestion that won your support came from @Tomikek 's thread titled "Add Epidemic", which received 59 positive votes.

Finally, the third suggestion to have received the most votes is the one from @Kantoli who launched the "A technology overhaul" thread which received 43 votes.

Gratias maximas for your participation! We count on you to continue to make new proposals and vote as the weeks go by. Your voices are valuable and we have noted that they have sparked some very interesting discussions.

Please note that we will only take into account the suggestions created from August 10 to 16 to establish the ranking for next week. This process will continue as the weeks go by.

See you next week.

Thanks for voting everyone. Really happy with all 3 suggestions. Reworking technology would be very nice and adding plagues is a nicely self contained idea that could add interesting and historical challenges.

Very happy to see my idea coming out on top as well. I hope the devs will also react on the proposals in detail. Im not looking for promises but it would be really nice to see what kind of unthought of problems or even possibilities they can see with the given ideas.

All of them are great threads.

Question: the "less loved" ones receive less attention from de Devs?

Considering how committed the devs of this game (and PDS in general) are my experience is that they try to read like everything both on the forum and on Reddit. For me this approach though gave in incentive to instead of just throw some random ideas/complaints around to really try and see if I can get a working proposal on paper in a concise way and not forget (to many) details. I think that for the devs it also helps a lot in seeing what people hope to see.

That being said looking at the the patches since release I'm not sure that PDS themselves are lacking ideas for improvements. Most of them are pretty nice on themselves. What I hope that they don't forget is to also strive for a coherent experience. It would be nice to hear from them what they feel are or should become the core gameplay pillars Imperator should be about. My personal proposal for example was written from the idea that we don't want to expand pops towards a more Victoria like experience but still want to expand upon them by tying them better together to other aspects of the game (in my proposal warfare and raising armies).

For me key to making the game (hopefully gameseries) really it's own thing in PDS' portfolio is giving it it's own place in the sun instead of throwing together things from other games in an antiquity setting. The basis of running a country with much more internal political challenges then in EU is a very decent starting point if you ask me but it would be nice to see how PDS wants to go forward with this on a more abstract level then just concrete mechanics.

Arheo wrote a DD about it. All the Civilization Building stuff, but its quite vague in itself, as in that could be fitted any PDX game almost, except maybe CK2. But I think we are starting to know what they mean, by the look of the last two patches under the direction of Arheo, and I personally like it, and I think its the right decision, and can be the distinctive sign of this title as oppose to Character building or empire building of EU and CK

Undo the shitty loyalty system!

Its not shitty at all. Its much better. Its shitty some of its implementation. Needs to be more fluid, dynamic and not so rusty as it feels now. I dont like the threshold mechanic for instance. I prefer the CK2 system where they have more agency on whether they want to rebel against you or not depending on traits and such, not being the opinion the only measure.

Please note that we will only take into account the suggestions created from August 10 to 16 to establish the ranking for next week.

Understandable, though that inevitably raises the question what is supposed to happen with all the good stuff which hit 4th or lower rank this week. I don't think those suggestions are "tabood" for future, right? Are we supposed to repost the same suggestions again, hoping they will make it this time into next weeks "triumvirate" of top suggestions? Or did I simply misunderstood the entire thing?

Also is there any way to reasonable filter out any suggestions not from this week and sort the remaining threads by popularity? That would be appreciated.

You guys also have to find the threads for next week's announcement somehow. ;)

Although the top three most voted suggestions are pinned each week, we read all the threads created and keep a close eye on the proposals that brought interesting exchanges and received significant approval, even if they are not part of the top 3. :)

Besides, if you think a suggestion you made deserves a second try at making the top 3, you can re-post it with adding ideas that were shared in response to your previous thread.
