It seems odd that a Christian ruler, kind, just, loves his family, etc, can eunuch his dad and turn his mod into a concubine without their permission, in exchange for a jade dragon statue.
I guess they didn't want most religions to be locked out of interactions with china? Was it really only possible to interact with china in real life by selling your family in a surprisingly cruel way? A christian ruler who can't won't use concubines or eunichs, yet, with China, suddenly they do use those things and on their own family of all things.
