Buying some prisoners could be a interesting strategical decision. It could win a war.
And if one cannot pay their own ransom, why would you bother? Sell them to one of their enemy.
UI-wise, it would be a diplomatic action tied to the potential buyer/seller.
What would push AI characters to buy one of your prisoner?
-Their treasury
-Are they a rival of your prisoner?
-Are they in war with your prisoner?
-Do they have claims on your prisoner's provinces?
-Are they a friend of your prisoner? (They would free the prisoner instantly)
-Are they a close, appreciating family member of your prisoner? (Idem)
-Are they lacking things to sacrifice?
Any additional suggestion?
