the eventfiles can be located anywhere without disturbing normal operation since they are called from the scenario file with "include = blah blah" statements. You should know this, Hive, as we used it for the fantasia scenario. :)

Though the events are implemented in the normal code. e.g in the major_rus file there is a new event after the #Russian claims on Poland-Lithuania#, thus I also didn't believe it would work in MP.

Still the events are pretty useless... Only thing that would be great was if you could select the prov you wanted to sell... here the event just runs at some random time.... which is useless

How can you estimate it if you haven't even tried it and don't realize how
it works.

These events are interactive. Buyer decides what exactly to buy, and seller
decides to agree or not to sell.

Anyhow you don't have to use my additions.

And if they are that useless, why you paying attention to this thread? :)

Yes, it works. You don't believe it yet just because you didn't try it.

A couple of reflections, if you don't want to give a flying ****, I don't care a fig:

1. Don't distribute using an .exe file. They are prone to being infected by virii which is not true for ye olde compressed file. Use ZIP or RAR.

2. Don't change the original files. I see you've just modified the original files and the installer is preset to extract them into the DP directory. You should instead just make one file called "transactions.txt" and put all the events in it to cut down on trouble for anyone who wants to use it. Those who want to use it in their scenario can just include this one file in their scenariofile. Making changes in the actual original game-files is a source of trouble no sane GM will want.

3. The whole deal may be a bit unnecessary. Events for selling and buying at pre-determined prices are not that useful in most games.

I as host and GM would never use these files in my game for the above reasons.

OK, reworked my mod. Now the original txt-files with the events not changed. All my stuff moved to the Transactions_TAG.txt files.

But I disagree with you about your opinion that only exe-files can be infected. Any file can contain “malicious code”, as they say. Just use your anti-virus for scanning the file. It only takes a few seconds. And you’ll see
its report, - “No viruses found”. I hope everybody knows how to do it.

Also I don’t agree that the prices are totally predetermined. Buyer can send additional ducats as a surcharge or get a rebate from his contractor.

Considering it only takes me 15-30 seconds to edit a province transfer in a save file, I just dont see it being worth the trouble.

Dont want to rain on your parade, just my 2 cents.

You forgot how long it takes to dl a save file in Vnet every time. So you
spend considerably more than 30 seconds on it.

Summarizing what done by now

This mod allows a player

1) Sell/buy provinces without DOW another nation or editing eug-files.
In AOE scenario France can buy up the European provinces with the
French culture from Austria, Spain and England. Every player can decide himself to buy or not those provinces. Also his contractors are free to
sell or not to sell them.

Ottoman Empire can buy up the Ottoman cores from Akk Kuyundu
and Venice as well as Venice can buy the Venecian cores from OE and
solve territorial problems without hostilities.

Venice and Vatican can buy the provinces with the Italian culture from
Spain, of course, if Spain’s player agrees to sell them.

Also Russia can offer Lithuania to sell Lithuanian provinces with the
Russian culture soon after #Russian claims on Poland-Lithuania# event
and solve this problem peacefully, instead of fighting. After 1617 the
Russians can buy their core provinces from Sweden and avoid military conflicts in Scandinavia in 17-18th centuries.

Also the Netherlands can buy up the Dutch provinces still remaining
under the Spanish rule as soon as the Netherlands come into being. If
the Spaniards agree, Artois and Luxemburg will become cut off from the
sea. But Spain can sell Artois to France. Of course, a Spain's player is
free to decide what to do, to sell or not to sell the land.

2) This mod makes possible move national capitals of 10 major European powers, namely - France, England, Austria, Denmark, Sweden, Poland, Ottoman Empire, Russia, Portugal and Spain.
Capitals can be moved once every fifty years in all Paradox’s scenarios.
As a rule every second opportunity allows to return your capital to its
original province. So, if you have moved it and not satisfied with a new location, for some reason, you can move it back. Every time you move
your capital, you have to spend 300 ducats. If you don’t suppose
necessary to move your capital, choose the option not to move it and
don’t spend any money on it.

Have installed this mod, if you don’t like it for some reason, just reinstall
the last beta version and it will eliminate all my stuff.

This mod doesn’t screw up Paradox’s stuff. Doesn’t change any of the
main files, thus compatible with all beta versions.

You can download it from

This mod was successfully tested in a couple of 2 players MP games.
